Yes the criticism of gentle Ben was that he was scoring runs on good pitches. But certainly not the case today.

He had a similarly excellent day against Australia in 2015 , I think. But this may well have been technically superior...hard to say without viewing the tapes :)

I'll settle for a magnificent exhibition of bowling...

Fllows up with a significant 60 considering WI as well as England innings was like T20 score :laugh

Nice batting in respect of playing very straight and playing nice looking shots. Didn't appear to be taking chances, but scored quickly. Fair enough, he was bowled through the gate from consecutive balls, but a lot of what Stokes does is quite pleasingly orthodox.

hmm hate to say it, but could this latest mis-demeanour cost him the vice captaincy.....i think it probably should to be honest, also same happened to Freddie after one too many indiscretions..

Not sure there is much more to it. Stokes was arrested on the suspicion of causing ABH, another man ended in hospital for treatment to a minor facial injury...

Why am I not surprised?

In 2011 he was arrested and cautioned by police following a drink related incident.

In 2013 he was sent home from a Lions tour following late night drinking sessions. He had received a written warning and ignored it. So he had done this more than once.
