As rumour in The Times that he may have injured his hand but no comment from the ECB. If fit he will be selected though because Strauss says the squad will be picked purely on cricketing grounds.

Exactly. Sounds like it was asking for trouble to go there. According to one report 5 players were out but 3 of them left earlier.

True. It might turn out to be a case of self defence , after all he has been released without charge.
The main worry will be if he has hurt himself and if he has how long will the injury take to heal?

I thing this happened at 2.30am. Hardly ideal gor a sportsman in the middle of a tournament.

I know he's young and lads his age do like the odd pint or seven late into the next morning but he needs to act more responsibly.

Maybe there was a curfew and he ignored it. Ironic thing is there was an interview in The Times with him on Saturday where he mentioned having a temper but said he'd never punch anyone.
