Not sure how long he can keep away the injury as he throws himself on the field while taking catches or saving runs. Has to bowl as well.

They have to rest him even if it is CT and he is becoming one of their importany player. Otherwise the injury will get worae if made to play when injured and career may ge timpacted along with results.

Still worry when he bowls, particuarly in ODI cricket...for example today he completely let off the pressure and allowed NZ back into the game..he all too often bowls loose deliveries and needs to learn when to settle into a line and length and build a sustained amount of pressure..

I don't think he's that type of player.

Im not saying he always has to have control, but to be considered a world class all-rounder, he does need to have some sort of element of control...he needs to be relied on, and at the moment you can't rely on him with the ball..

Another 100 for Ben. Under pressure taking guard at 3/35. Knocks Australia out of CT 2017. He is playing match winning knocks frequently. :clap

Bowled absolute garbage when it mattered most - either short and wide of off stump or straying down leg stump.

Ben has 5 tons in 62 innings. Freddie has 5 in 130. Same tons in half the innings. Batting average of Ben is marginally better than that of Freddie, however Ben converts his starts way better than Freddie did in his career.

Ben is a much better player with the bat than Fred was

Ben is a proper batsmen

Fred was a much better bowler though

His batting has been like botham so far

All or nothing, lots of hundreds but lots of low scores too

Botham will always be a what might have been

How good would he have been had he kept himself in better physical condition
