why should both face consequences ?

if the old model was weighted too heavily towards the BCCI then why should the ECB lose money because its been amended ?

under the new model the ECB are only going to be getting roughly the same as CA, PCB, CSA. on what basis should the ECB get less than those boards ?

Isn't it the new ICC president, an Indian, who set this ball in motion? If so the BCCI won't be surprised by this move and surely were aware that a loss of revenue was coming.

from all accounts Manohar isn't liked much in the current BCCI circles, actually quite surprising Thakor was vice president for him, considering they both hate each other and have totally different views.

They didn't like the fact manohar wanted ICC to be a global body and not what BCCI wanted, plus they had disagreement with him over the Lodha stuff.
Manohar wanted to do everything lodha suggested and was a big fan of all of it.

I suppose the real question is, would the BCCI consider losing revenue from the ICC as being a loss of face?

Very good article from bal.

doesn't make sense to keep BCCI out of the loop when 2 yrs ago the whole bloody point was they wanted BCCI to take charge and always wanted them to be happy so they never threaten to pull out of events/tours.
ironic part is that the proposal would have likely been accepted if BCCI were involved at arriving the numbers considering vast majority of the people in BCCI agreed to a drop in ICC revenues.
Seems like BCCI going to win the vote at April.
