England end KP's international career.

What's buzzing in the world of cricket....

If true about Cook wanting to work on fitness before the sydney test then it really shows he does not have much of a clue. What fitness will they get so late into a series from one session. KP was right to be wanting to work on skills.

Of course these are all just rumors at present. As FTS says England have become a shambles, and the captain as well as the management must accept some of the blame for this.

If this is how they treat KP I fear for the up-coming Ben Stokes.

He has improved attitude wise but they say something about leopards and spots.

Given Pietersen’s celebrity status, there will no doubt be quite a few in that brigade. However, not only off the field has Pietersen been a liability lately, so I doubt their howls of anguish will have much effect (or credibility).

Sneers Morgan has laid into Cook & Prior so far.

I wonder who is next on his radar.

With any luck, something may arise from this to stop his gallop...

Stokes will be fine as long as he doesn't fall into the Pietersen trap of acting like he's bigger than the team.

Has KP ever been sent home from a tour for persistent breach of team rules? Stokes has.... and has only been one a few tours.

Stokes does have being young as an excuse. Now he's in the team, we'll hopefully see a more mature Stokes.

The rabbit hole on this one seems to be getting deeper. We have Prior becoming involved with accusations that KP was betrayed as to comments he was encouraged to make, but with Piers Morgan now insisting that Prior sues him to prove he is wrong on Prior also being negative about the coach.

We have the insistence that KP was told to field on the boundary for his fitness while the press made a lot of him not being part of the team.

We then have an accusation that he attacked Cook in a heated discussion that now seems to be retracted, and that although they disagreed, it was not heated.... and the fact that Cook now decides on training, and not the coaches?

This is a shambles of epic proportions, it makes our coaching methods and staff look stupid, and lots of things that have been taken to the press that are not true.

Even the old Anti KP publications are now demanding the truth, as this is increasingly feeling like a witch hunt.

That all depends on whether you think that anything Morgan says is worth listening to.

Yes, Stokes has time to prove that he can be a real asset to the team.

Not usually, but his "so sue me if I am not telling the truth", considering the background of the accusation, does make me think that what he is saying is at least generally true. Prior himself defended himself as to the tone or understanding of what was said, and didnt seem to deny it.

Notts rejected his approach to be released from his contract in order to play first division cricket and further his England career, and to find a county where his spin would be developed without Brown and Swann. His request was taken with such professional manner, his captain apparently told him to "F*** off", before smashing his equipment up and throwing it off the balcony. He left when his contract expired as Notts refused and desperately wanted to keep him to the last day of his contract...... at Hampshire he left to pursue a career at Surrey after his contract expired, because he wanted to play in London where he lives.

Actually, KP left Hants because he was Omitted from the T20 finals day squad, because the Hampshire players and coaches didn't want him playing.
