Only heard about Strauss supposedly off mike comments today. He's gone up in my estimation as up til now I had him down as a complete dullard.

I've never noticed that swearing is an indicator of an interesting personality? Or abusing absent people particularly admirable.

It doesn't and he hasn't gone up that far but i guess my opinion of the individual his expletives were aimed at has something to do with it.

Does he mean Swann was the captain behind the captain, or Swann bowling made what they did succeed? If the latter, surely all captains rely on good performances. But it's true that Swann contributed a hell of a lot to the good run of 09-11.

It's a reasonably point, pointlessly framed as a bit of a dig. Although with Cook a losing captain, any negative comment about him will seem to increase the pressure.

MSD at Dominica (2011), Cape Town(2011), Trent Bridge(2011), Melbourne (2011) and Wellington (2009 and 2014), Jo'burg (2013). I'm sure I have missed out on a few but these stand out.
