Tendulkar for me.

It would be warne, for me, combining the best bowler of his generation with someone that people could actually get close to, and talk to.

If its a public voting exercise, then they might as well have not bothered and just handed the award straight to Tendu. He might even deserve it!

Kallis and Warne cant match Sachin in batting.Kallis struggled to adapt to ODI's.Sachin adapted easily to batting in both formats.

Sachin and Warne can't match Kallis as all rounder

Sachin and Kallis did not have as much success with ball as Warne.

Tough to answer the question as all three were unmatched in each skill set.But i have seen Kallis and Warne sledge to batters.Sachin never sledged when he was bowling or fielding.So for humble behavior i will choose Sachin as cricketer of generation if at all a choice is to be made.

Why is 1993-2013 deemed to be a generation and not, for example, 1992-2012?

Best batter I've seen is Lara, best bowler, Warne. Depends what the criteria are. If I had a vote, I'd give it to Warne. SRT and Kallis would be reasonable choices though.
