It seems we are at a stage where players either can't think for themselves or are scared too, every player being told what to eat and when, what delivery to bowl and when, fields being set for them

Perhaps we might now examine the notion that the first Test spinner spot must now be between Borthwick and Patel :)

Moeen got a ton as well, keeping him in the frame for the spinner's spot.

They can only reasonably ignore Lyth and Stoneman for so long.
