Ironically, he is yet to be reported at international level. He has snubbed international cricket to play in BCCI tournaments (CLT20 and IPL) where he has been reported twice and has now been banned from bowling offbreaks. Maybe he could focus on international cricket for a change... 8-)

This is ridiculous. Just ban him or let him bowl. Can't change your mind every two weeks. http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-prem ... 71683.html

You can rant all you want, but there are more people in the stands for matches in the IPL than there are for most Test matches outside of England....

There are more people for the EPL than Tests in England. Maybe the cricketers should start playing football?

there are more people in the stands than people in test matches in England considering the Capacity are small in England.

You'd still never see 60-80,000 at a Test match like an IPL game in Kolkata.

True Dan might point really was that IPL Attendances beat every single test match attendances barring one series the Ashes in Australia and only then the MCG Boxing day test.

Of topic here but Australia is the best supported cricket nations, absolutely loves all forms of the game the only nations where Ratings, Crowds and everything is more or less equal in all formats.
in general people watch Test and the same people watch ODI and T20.
In england half of people only watch Ashes, the other half that do watch other test matches only 60% of them tune in into ODI/T20.
ODI in particular have very poor ratings even in the World cup.

India Ratings are only really high for T20/ODI which is mirrored in all the other countries.

Fixing happens in county cricket and other English domestic (Loui Vincent allegation or acknowledgement in which he said he was part of it?) , which was proved with Kaneria incident in courts. It happens for ages in international cricket (Hansie, Azhar, Salman and gang, Warne helping bookies with info), it happened in Bangladesh premiere league (Ashraful), it happens in IPL (Shreesanth and gang). By that logic you should not watch any of cricket tournaments. It's not that only Indian tournament (IPL) is full of faults and there is no fixing or wrong doings in other countries cricket system. Only someone who does not knows about rulings about cricket criminal cases outside India will beleive only IPL is bad, not me.

It happens in the IPL on a far greater scale. Based on what I've read on Twitter there are at least 6-7 dodgy instances this year.

And there are plenty of other things to dislike about the IPL. Apparently, Sunny Gavaskar was asking Virat Kohli about his girlfriend at the toss during one of the matches and a couple of days ago, referred to him as "Chikoo" and asked him whether he'd watch Piku (his girlfriend's upcoming movie). I mean WTF!!!!! You'd never see such personal and casual talk during international matches. I would"ve expected it from a Sidhu but not someone like Sunny. Which just shows no one takes it seriously. Its nothing more than an entertainment show. Its not serious sport. Its as much of a sport as WWE.
