It's OK. Them's the rules. He might well pass the assessment in which case he wouldn't merit having been left out.

Guyana pacer Ronsford Beaton has been suspended from bowling by Cricket West Indies with immediate effect after his action was deemed illegal by an independent assessor at Loughborough University, an ICC accredited testing centre for suspect bowling actions. Beaton's action was found to be in breach of the permitted 15 degrees under the playing regulations.

The pacer was reported during Guyana's game against the United States last Monday in the Super50 Cup, and he will now undergo remedial work under the supervision of the franchise, following which he can apply for a reexamination.

Sydney Thunder spinner Chris Green has been banned from bowling for 90 days because of a suspect action.

To go through the usual testing and remedial work, I suppose.

I wonder how the Thunder management are feeling, after recently signing him to an unprecedented six year contract?

seemingly his 90 day ban will not have been completed by the time the IPL starts. Kolkata Kingston Rovers might pull the plug.... that'd be an expensive consequence

he can still bat - but he hasn't been doing very much of that in the BBL this year.

Green played yesterday but he did not bowl due to ban.

Brendon McCullum mentioned that KKR will support him and he asked whether his action could be checked again in Chennai centre. Green has said he will work with spin bowling coach of Narine to sort his action. I think he is banned only from bowling in Australian tournaments.

IPL governing council's approval is key for him

Green was a backup as KKR have spinners Narine, Kukdeep, Pravin Tambe and Varun Chakravarthy.
