Pataudi Trophy Predictions

Postby Arthur Crabtree » Mon Jul 07, 2014 8:24 pm

1. Who will be the top run scorer for each side.

2. Who will be the top wicket taker for each side.

3. Name a ground and a result. ie, India will win at the Oval, or, there will be a draw at the Rose Bowl.

4. Who will take the most catches at Trent Bridge.

5. Who will bowl the most overs at Lord's.

6. Who will face the most balls at the Rose Bowl.

7. Who will take the most wickets at Old Trafford.

8. Name the England or India team for the Oval.

9. Name a player to feature in all five Tests.

10. Name the debutants to figure in the series. You can name as many as you like, but as soon as you get one wrong, you lose all the points.

?

If there's any interest, I'll mark it at the end of the series. One point for each name down (so eleven points available for question 8).
I always say that everybody's right.

Matt Prior took the most catches at Trent Bridge. Dhoni only got one innings to keep, and was ahead at half way. A point is awarded for Binny's debut, though some may lose this down the line.

2: Dan/Shanks/Arthur.
1: Hants/CF/GG.

1. Who will be the top run scorer for each side.

2. Who will be the top wicket taker for each side.

3. Name a ground and a result. ie, India will win at the Oval, or, there will be a draw at the Rose Bowl.

4. Who will take the most catches at Trent Bridge: Matt Prior

5. Who will bowl the most overs at Lord's: Jimmy Anderson

6. Who will face the most balls at the Rose Bowl: Alastair Cook

7. Who will take the most wickets at Old Trafford: Stuart Broad

8. Name the England or India team for the Oval.

9. Name a player to feature in all five Tests.

10. Name the debutants to figure in the series: (so far) Binny, Buttler, Pankaj.

4: Dan & Shanky (Dan needs Pandey to make his debut at the Oval or he loses three points)

3: Arthur & Hampshire.

2: GG & Splinters & CF (GG needs Pandey to make his debut at the Oval or he loses both points)

Shanky got Broad as top wicket taker in Manchester, though he only bowled in one innings.

Ballance was a near miss for many for nearly facing as many balls in Southampton as Cook. Similarly Jadeja bowled nearly as many balls as Anderson at Lord's.
I always say that everybody's right.
