I think, and I can be corrected, that the Asian populations that make up the Leeds-Bradford area is vastly more Pakistani in origin. Something like 25% in Bradford, with only say 1-2% Indian.

60 quid to watch this game. It's outrageous considering its relative location to everyone else. Old Trafford have the next test and they at least have tickets in the "party stand" for £45.

I suppose Hampshire calculated they could make more money selling tickets at £60 than lower and hoping for more sales, though.

I believe alot of the tickets were sold, but due to railway work, people were unable to attend.

A lot of money for a ticket in a recession, especially when Bradford area is supposed to have a really bad employment ratio.

I thought the bidding process had gone and games were offered partly as a reward for being good hosts, and partly based on rotation. I'm quite confident I read that.

Rotate the india/Australia games between 6 grounds with Lords and Oval being guaranteed games.

Nope Edgbaston definitely wanted a test. They've had two years without a major test, it's disgraceful.
