Kevin Pietersen's Autobiography.

It looks like this is coming out on the sixth of October. I really can't remember a cricket book being as anticipated as this one, with the suggestion of revelations about the decline and fall of Andy Flower's empire and the circumstances of the resistible rise of the Alastair Cook. Plenty of people at the ECB will be waiting to have a look.

Anyone else at tms going to read this? I'll be buying it and I'll post points of possible interest on this thread.

Just hope he doesn't start in Pietermaritzburg, 1980.

Is this being released the day after the agreed silence from either party expires?

Good question... There's an article about it on The Cricket Paper. But you have to subscribe.

It comes out on 9 October. My girlfriends birthday.

Hmmm...

No, she was more of a Monty fan...

I think it will have some pretty big revelations in it.

I'll be happy if he takes those smug suits at the ECB but they are fireproof.

I'll be surprised if we learn much from it, just the stories we've heard with a little added vitriol. I suggest waiting a month before purchasing the book as it will then be available as a remainder at a book warehouse for a quid.

Don't suppose it will be free on Kindle.

Some newspaper will already have bought the serialisation rights.

We'll get the best bits without having to buy it.

Hearing what was going on last winter, and some insight into why Flower's time ran out will be interesting.

'If I was treated fairly and everyone conducted themselves the right way, why should any nuclear bomb land on 9 Oct?'
