again being devil's advocate that's not really the point

having 2 lower quality teams but of equal ability playing each other and getting a close game doesn't necessarily justify their presence in a world cup

all I am saying is in terms of putting pressure on the ICC games between the associates are irrelevant, its how competitive they are against the top teams that matters

and whilst I am sure the people who watched the game would agree it was good to see a close game judging by the size of the crowd and the likely level of interest for neutrals I would be fairly confident nowhere near as many people would watch games between 2 associates in the first place, and btw I watched every ball live

one sided games between full members also doesn't really improve the argument for associate sides inclusion in the next world cup as the full members are still going to be there anyway

Dave Richardson said that there were only 10 teams because that's how many are evenly matched and competitive. Clearly they aren't evenly matched at all so might as well keep it to 14 as associates aren't less competitive.

and more often than not they will be more competitive than a full member against an associate

look I am all for keeping the associates in the world cup but its just getting a bit tiresome seeing the same irrelevant arguments after every game

the only factor that really matters is how well the associates do in their games against the full members, which they have by and large been doing

Make it 10 teams but ALL teams have to qualify like they do in football.

That would bring Peter Moores out into a cold sweat.
