Faulkner, six matches, four innings, one not out, highest score, 22, 44 runs. Nothing wrong with that,I imagine he just hit out at the end of innings. But it's not much to go on as an all rounder.

Shows how well india played as a team that no one can really get into the team of the tournament since they hasn't really been any outstanding individual performances from any of the players apart the bowlers.
None of the batsman been consistent throughout the tournament and hard to pick any of india bowlers in the world cup best 11 apart from Ashwin or Shami.

Dhawan and Shami were candidates. But, they lose points for not doing it in the semi. At least the Kiwi candidates actually got to the final, beating the champions along the way. The impression of India not doing it when it counted is slightly stronger than with NZ. Most of the choices came from the finalists.

With Morgan unavailable, England will announce an interim captain in the next few days for the ODI v Ireland, to take place shortly after the third Test in the Caribbean is completed. This seems likely to be James Taylor. It would be a surprise if England didn't start on the new era with Alex Hales embedded at the top of the order.

It'll be interesting to see if England stand by Steve Finn, who had a very trying WC, and return to Boyd Rankin, or if they look at new players like David Willey and Mark Wood, who is having a good tour of the Caribbean by not playing any games. With Moeen Ali likely to be absent, England could finally give Adil Rashid a game, in probably cold and wet conditions, or go back to Briggs or Parry.

Whoever they choose, with Bell, Broad and Anderson still in the West Indies, it will difficult to guess yet whether the squad represents another year zero for England, or if this is just a conveniently promoted Lions squad of no significance, most likely to just annoy supporters of the counties who will lose the players.

The Ireland game will have little to no impact on the squads selected for later in the year.
