Risking the ire of Arthur, I would have The Untouchables in that list. Admittedly it was a long time ago that I saw it, but I remember thinking how shyte it was then.

I cant really comment either way, its been so long ago that I watched it, I really cant remember the film at all apart from vague memories of certain moments. I cant even remember what I used to think of it, which makes me think it was not bad nor that good. Then again, it has Kevin Costner in it, which makes me think it must have been terrible.

Actually I will retract the statement about Connery dominating that terrible list. Nicholas Cage must be winning that race, and Costner is definintely within sight at the finish line.

I cant remember its name, but there is a Costner film with Ashton Kutcher about lifeguards or divers, or divers who were lifeguards, or lifeguards who learned to dive.... cant remember what it was, but that is also one of the worst 5 films I have seen.

The Guardian apparently. I must have watched this on a plane, or some form of long distance bus where there was no other option, or where it was played on a screen with the volume turned up. I cant imagine Id ever have watched it all the way through unless that was the case, even if i paid 20 Euros to go cinema, id have left after the first 20 minutes.

I think the quality dropped after the seventies. But he did get his Oscar in the eighties.

I guess his Indiana Jones film would have been a big hit in the eighties, though obviously he wasn't the star. Hunt for Red October did well. Name of the Rose was critically well received.

My five picks are:

Marnie (1964)
The Hill (1965)
The Molly Maguires (1970)
The Offence (1973)
Robin and Marion (1976)

And one to avoid:

Highlander (1986)
I always say that everybody's right.

He is a actor/whatever that never made much ground down under, but I have seen him in a few of the panel shows that you Brits lie, and often do very well.

A funny, clever man, who had real charm. And such a twinkle in his eye.

Connery won a Bafta for name of the Rose.

I have to confess, I kinda like The Rock, in a guilty pleasure kinda way. But only because of Connery (and perhaps Ed Harris). Connery carries that film, basically playing a 60 year old Bond.

It's not a film I like that much, just that Connery was great in it I thought. I don't rate any De Palma film highly. A couple are ok.

I think I was overwhelmed by Costner.

That is my strongest memory - disliking him.
