Annie Nightingale, R1 DJ at 83. Apparently their first female presenter. Used to listen to her excellent request show in the 80s. RIP.

for some reason I thought that she was the sister of Cheggers, but that was Janice Long, of course.

Forgot Cheggers was sister of Janice Long. Must have been a very cheerful house growing up.
Keith was in Polanski's version of Macbeth. Not a speaking part, from memory, but he was credited.

Not bad. Like a new wave band covering Shangri-Las songs.
She was getting referenced by Amy Winehouse around then, so maybe that inspired the timing of the record.

I am surprised that he was so young.
I am not sure if I know a single song of his/Cockney Rebel's other than Make Me Smile, but that alone is worth remembering him for. A fantastic pop song, one that I enjoyed hearing each time.
