Mohammad Amir's return to international cricket

What's buzzing in the world of cricket....

I can see both sides of the argument...

Amir was caught cheating and tainted cricket, especially for Pakistan. It's understandable that Pakistan players who have played the game 100% honestly would be upset that he returns as this could send out the wrong message.

However, he has served his sentence so why shouldn't he be allowed back?

I saw the video. Did not expect cricketers discussion panel could stoop to such level. MOYO, few years back was also involved in a bad debate after he criticised one Pak player during interview.

"Aap jaise besharam aadmi "
"Cricket me na kuch kiye hai, khelna kudna to aapko ata nahi"
"Aapko sharam nahi ati cricket pe baat karte hue"
"pehle to aap is jaise makkar insano k mat laya karo please na laya karo mere sath"
"makaar woh hai jo gharwalo pe bhi case karte hai"
"Aap jaisa ghatiya insaan maine zindagi me nahi dekha '

:lmaoagain

Now some press person must go to Afridi and ask about this debate.

BTW, Amir is getting so much support he must be thinking what he did was correct ;)

The Guardian did. And that link above did (though it also said Amir was out for match fixing).

Amir shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a cricket ground in England, I don't accept this "he was too young to know what he was doing" defence. Countries in the Mid-East and Asia are not in any hurry to issue visas to those with criminal records.

So how will this play out I wonder?

Outrage from the Daily Mail saying Amir should not be here and call for pressure on the ECB to put pressure on the PCB to change their minds.

PCB dig their heels in and threaten to call off the tour if they persist with this.

ECB nervous of lost revenue, sit tight hoping the fuss dies down but knowing it wont.

Amir plays in series and becomes their leading wicket taker.

Pretty much guaranteed PCB will make a fuss, Considering Asian are normally likely to get angry at trival matter, you just need to look at me in the Visa thread. even if PCB doesn't complain thousands or millons would be complaining in pakistan alongside the former players in the media and news channels.

PCB Generally use this card anyway when things don't go as they plan politically and is pretty much the reason why their are ranked higher than SA in the cricketing political tables.

probably best Amir plays so you don't hear the constant complaining of how Amir would have won the series single handedly and how ECB/England cheated to beat pakistan.

Always best to beat the team with the best players playing rather beating a weaker teams.

if he plays the guy very lucky at the moment, was always touch and go if he would get visa to most countries after getting a record but the fact he went to prison and sentenced in the uk should really mean he barred from this country for at least 10 years after his sentences was finished.

Also TBH most or all countries are tough to get visa if you got a criminal record so no different anywhere in the world.
Think USA is the toughest place to get a visa with a record.

You are living in a world entirely of your own making. Some years ago I was to go to Kuwait to supervise a construction but before I could get a visa I had to provide a certificate from the British government that I did not have a criminal record. The UAE often make difficulties over visa applications and a few years ago the BCCI refused to allow England to send a performance squad to India, presumably to prevent England players learning how to play in their conditions.

England has tutored players from all over the world in how to play in our conditions, that´s how sensitive we are.

TBH that was in response to ECB not allowing BCCI to have an Ipl games in Ireland in the Summer.

No idea what you getting a stamp to work in kuwait got to do with this thread or any relevance to Amir case.
