That's number 12.

Anything scored against WI back then is going to have a lot going for it, especially in the Caribbean.

As far as SRT is concerned, when he was at his peak, India had a hopeless team away from Asia. Their only Test win even outside India came against a weak SL unit. Unfortunately from his point of view, he was at his swashbuckling best in the 1990s. After that he became more of an accumulator of runs. Hard to remember some of his knocks during the later part of his career as memorable.

exactly my point.
if tendulkar was born 10 year later, a lot of his earlier innings will be far more memorable.
even now it is so rare to find any footage of his 90s knocks.
Lack of tv coverage was one reason SRT didn't really get in the list or does badly in anything like this.

Also Tendulkar missed out playing Australia, England, West indies away from home at his peak.

I didn't even know about the SA capetown knock in 1997 till you mentioned it before this post.

My favourites SRT knock will be WACA.
and then all three chennai knocks.

Just one point. When I talked about SRT's innings against Oz in Chennai, I was looking at the 1998 one and not the innings that he played in 2001.

Strangely, this knock he played came just before my preparatory exams. I somehow managed to watch it ;)

younger people are missing out on the best of tendulkar.

saying that 1997 was the most underrated knock ever.
scored a big hundred against Shane warne in a rank turner.

this innings and tour probably destroyed shane warne never played well again against india.
Did it against every other team and country but just could never conquer India.
the way he big up Navjot singh sidhu is the evidence of it.

This is the greatest ever spinner and Tendulkar played him at ease in a spinning deck.
