Devastating for the lad and his career. The only good thing is that with the tests they have these days they found the condition -the consequences otherwise without treatment could be devastating.

Just terribly sad. One of those questions you have to ask yourself in any walk of life - would you rather know or not know?

Devastating news but good in a way that they found it.

Would've had a great England career I am sure.

Absolutely tragic news. Have never felt so numb since the Phillip Hughes tragedy. Thankfully, they discovered this. Doesn't sound like he'll be coming back but wish him a long and healthy life ahead.

Sad to hear this news. Obviously good in the sense that the detection of this condition safeguards his health - there is more to life than cricket , after all ...but a huge pity for a young man who was still basically starting out on a potentially fine International career.
Rotten bad luck. Though at least he got to show us all a little of what he could do in his brief time in the spotlight - a couple of catches will stick in the memory , as well as some very accomplished batting. :salute

A pity for England , too - but there is another thread for that.

They are showing an interview with him on Sky at the moment, where he is describing the episode which led up to his diagnosis. Quite dramatic by the sound of it, describing his arrhythmia and how he thought he was having a heart attack, but took 6/7 hours to seek medical attention.

As he said most diagnoses of his condition are from a post mortem.
