Even before Bangladesh was mentioned three places were in question Hales, Balance and Vince. I doubt if Hales would have kept his place as he kept on getting out the same way. The same with Vince. Dropping 3 players at once didn't seem ideal and Ballance would be the lucky one to keep his place. I expect Rashid to take one of the places and Hameed the other.

Bangladesh were in UK that summer. Not sure they will have still been here at the time of the London bombings. Probably not.

Even the Barmy Army aren't going.

The two attacks are incomparable, for a start there was no political unrest in Britain during 2005.

Some things are more important than playing cricket and if Hales and Morgan don't want to tour for legitimate safety concerns, that is more than reasonable.

Couldn't make this up and the tour is still going on and top of that ECB persuading players to play the bangladesh premier league and which the PCA said they shouldn't be going to lol.

Josh cobb and Tymal mills have signed for the 20/20 league.

Aggers was asked if he felt in any danger out in Bangladesh and he replied not at all. I see there are a small handful of England fans out there who probably don't have any security at all. Some of media, who stay in the England bubble, have been out on runs and I imagine that some guards have to follow them. By jeep or on foot? There are also been a trip to the British High Commission for the players.

South Africa should call off the tour of England because it's too risky.

Terrorism in England seems to be different from terrorism in bangladesh. One law for the Meads and another for the Persians.

I find these different stances so hypocritical. If you're going to make a united stand against terrorism then stand with Bangladesh too.

Good point Mike. We mostly don't equate the two. It could easily be an issue going into the CT. I'd guess presidential levels of security won't be offered.
