Yup. That was the game where Broad got a hattrick. England were out of order (IMO) in approaching the Indians, but it was hardly bodyline, and not exactly cheating. It was just a bit embarrassing that they did it. India could have turned them down.

Flower berating the groundstaff for not getting the ground ready v NZ. Not a big deal really, he just looked a fool.

Maybe a disagreement. Can't remember a row. A misjudgement by Strauss and Flower. But not a major incident. For me.

There are a few incidents of players claiming catches that clearly bounced. That's worse.

Worse than Bell? I remember the whole thing leaving a bit of a bitter taste. Like more sour than sour skittles but not as bitter as bitter gourd.

Maybe you could start with Cricket's Burden of Shame and then narrow down in England in a subsequent thread. Then the shock factor will be gone.

A bit like that show 'Days that shook the world'.
