plus the money loss to BCCI is peanuts compared to the Sponsers and media deals BCCI has for IPL and bilateral games.
so it could afford a loss for one tournament.
ICC got more to lose with a weaken team, than BCCI does.

Rohit, Shikhar, Virat, Dhoni, Yuvi, Raina, Kedar will be there in the squad if fit. Team India will not drop these players unless unfit.

All of them in the team as expected. Strongest team put forward by BCCI.

Virat (C)
Shikhar
Rohit
Rahane
MSD (wk)
Yuvraj
Kedar
Hardik
Ashwin
Jadeja
Shami
Umesh
Bhuvi
Bumrah
Manish

Adi - Raina is not there, maybe a bit of a surprise given his IPL performances

I worry a bit if India try and play Pandya and Ashwin. Unless it's a turner we shoul;dn't play ashwin as he's not as effective in ODIs as in tests. In his last few ODIs he hasn't even bowled his full overs and he is a liability in the field and his batting is not very effective. He is a great test player for us but OPDIs are a different matter.

Panday as one of 5 bowlers also worries me as his bowling is not reliable enough.

Bhuvi, Bumrah, Shami and Umesh will be important but if they play both spinners and Pandya then only 2 of these 4 can play - personally I think 3 of them is an absolute minimum. I'd like all 4 but having Bhuvi and Shami at 8 and 9 leaves the batting a bit light. Maybe ...

Rohit
Dhawan
Kohli
Yuvi
Dhoni
Jadhav
Pandya
Jadeja
Bhuvi
Shami
Bumrah

Think pandya needs to play a decent finisher and can be the 5th or 6th bowler.
Agree that one of jadeja or Ashwin can play, although wouldn't mind if both play either considering the bigger outfield should suit them as well, just like in 2013.

my team would be
Rohit Sharma
Rahane/Dhawan probably Dhawan because he seems to be in better form.
Kohli
pandey
Dhoni
Kedar jadhav
Jadeja
pandya
Bumrah
Yadav
Shami

Bhuvi in competition with Bumrah
Best team really bats till pandya.
5 bowlers and part time overs of jadav, although yuvi might get a game for his bowling.
maybe few overs light but you can live with that considering getting a better bowler weakens the batting by a huge margin.

Middle order looks awful, crazy how india struggling with odi batting at the moment.
probably india weakest odi team for a long time.

I wouldn't say it's a weak batting line up at all...also wouldn't be relying on Jadhav for overs...for me Pandya if he plays bats at 7...and is the 5th bowler...but Yuvi needs to be there in case he has a bad day.

Kedar has taken Raina's place. Kedar played well in last OID series. He gives the option of keeping as well if needed due to some injury as well as bowl as part timer.

Rohit and Shikhar are best available opening pair. Virat is a ODI champ. Yuvi,DHoni and Kedar have done well in last ODI series. Hardik was always going to be groomed and fielded in playing 11 in these conditions. Bhuvi,Shami and Jas are the best available bowlers for this format. Ashwin and Jaddu will fight for one spot. The selection committee has done a good job imo.

This is best batting lineup we could field.

I feel that India lack a truly explosive batsman other than Kohli. If they end up facing a big score I don't think they will keep up.

Dhawan needs to return to past glories and Rohit needs to quit the inconsistency.

Hardik is one of the most explosive batsmen in the world. Add in Yuvraj and Jadhav and India's middle order should be fine.
