Was always going to be fixed before the major cash cows were seriously threatened.

Looks as though the players got pretty much what they wanted . Makes them one of the most successful trade unions going round at the moment :)

Yep awful deal for ca though they were actually better off not starting the fight in the first place.
Very bad loss for them.
Suspect they didn't expect the players to be that stubborn on the pay deal.

Didn't a lot of this stuff form the backdrop to the Packer World series 40 years ago? Did the bean counters not look to see what lessons could be learned from that before deciding to butt heads with the talent again?

Wouldn't say the Australians are overly strengething their hand for future negotiations with their performances in Bangladesh.

Australian players are not paid for their overseas exploits. Quickly brush this under the carpet, and then they can earn their money in Australia this summer.
