I think you forgot to include a wicketkeeper.

Mine's over on the Women's World Cup thread. We have some rather different choices for most positions.

nobody including Heather Knight? It was her regular and reliable runs, combined with her regular and reliable wickets that cost me the FL title

Colly-esque

Every team needs the reliable workhorses as well as the fancy Dan's

nobody ever won anything with a team of fancy Dan's

or without the top run scorer, either

I included both of them.

My suggestion

Beaumont (Eng)
Raj (Ind)
Perry (Aus)
Taylor (Eng - WK)
Sciver (Eng)
Kaur (Ind)
Knight (Eng - captain)
Kapp (SA)
Luus (SA)
Kasperek (NZ)
Beams (Aus)

Honourable mentions - Verma - (outstanding tournament behind the stumps, but I couldn't quite fit her in because she can't bat, and Taylor as wk/bat rounds the side out better), van Niekerk (outstanding stats, but too many cheap wickets against lower order players in matches that were already won), Wolvaardt, Shrubsole (one truly astonishing spell, but otherwise not a great tournament, so doesn't quite make it)

that's more like it.... and you left out DVN of which I heartily approve

Is there a case for Brunt? not many wickets but went the whole tournament at an econ of 3.77 and she was bowling at the top and at the death unlike DVN

There's a case for a lot of players. While I think Kapp and Sciver make everyone's list, there were lots of good performances. I found it particularly hard to narrow down bowlers - there were no real standouts that were head and shoulders above the pack, but lots who did pretty well. Funnily enough England managed to win the tournament despite bowlers weren't that hot, but most of India and Australia's bowlers, and several from SA and NZ could make a case. And you could certainly argue for Brunt and Shrubsole.

my tuppence worth ...

Lanning (Aus) - pushing her up to open, edges out Raj from India (another option to push up to open), Beaumont (Eng) and Bates (NZ)
Lee (SA) - for her blistering starts
Perry (Aus) - a dead cert imo
Taylor(wk) (Eng) - offers so much with bat
Sciver Eng) - a must
Harmanpreet (Ind) - a couple of other really good innings but also won the semi by herself
Knight (Eng) - all round contribution
Van Niekirk (SA) - over criticized, bowled well when it mattered as well as when the game was in the bag, and made an all-round contribution
Kapp (SA) - had a great tournament
Beams (Aus) - again, had a great tournament ... tough call though as Poonam Yadav and Deepti Sharma (Ind) have strong claims, maybe also Kerr (NZ) and Luus (SA)
Shrubsole (Eng) / Goswami (Ind) - tough call this one, but Shrubsole probably edges it just for her performance in the final

Seems strange that hardly anyone picked Beaumont - the player of the tournament.

I guess there's not many that think she should have been close to player of the tournament. She gave Eng some good solid starts but it was really Taylor, Sciver, Knight that came in and upped the run rate - whereas Lee, Bates and Lanning scored heavily at a better tempo - Raj was similar to Beaumont in the overall tempo and consistency so I don't really see a big case to Beaumont although she obviously had a very good tournament.
