Last one, then Ill shut up.

Arguably my favourite ever Ashes moment..... the Dazzler hattrick in 1999 at Sydney. Headley had given England slim chance of a draw with his performance at Melbourne, and then just as you felt Australia were taking control of that game, Dazzler knocked the tail away with the score not much past 300, and there was just a little room for England fans to get crazy over-excited that they might be able to draw the series. We eventually lost for 98 runs when the pitch dusted and broke up, and Warne and MacGill tore us apart, but it was the only time in my life watching Ashes cricket until 2005 that the actual possibility of not losing a series felt close enough to touch. And I always loved Dazzler, and a yorker that smashes the stumps.... nothing like 5 minutes of wild hope.

Shame Darren wasted those yorkers on Miller and MacGill, not sure many better batters would have got anything on them.

Arthur Crabtree wrote:He was injured in 2015 when Broad took 8-fer (otherwise Broad wouldn't have got 8 and Australia wouldn't have made 60). He took ten in 2013 on a lousy pitch. 2009 there wasn't a TB Test. 2005 he wasn't one of the fab four. 2001 he hadn't made his debut.

fair enough. bit of a surprise, that

the 89 looks good, the 27 looks good, but put them both together and it doesn't look like much at all. Back to GJ's longevity theory

Its strange, because if theres one set of batsman that struggle against the moving ball, its Australian batsman.
