Very impressed with Amanda-Jade Wellington in yesterday's tied KSL game between Southern Vipers and Lancashire.

Figures were 4-0-22-3 and technique was spot on.

Jemimah Rodrigues was the star for Yorkshire today as they beat Surrey in the KSL.

Not one of the biggest stars of Indian cricket but a top-scoring 41 gave them the edge over Surrey.

Lizelle Lee is such a top player.

She got 75 today and helped Surrey completely dominate Lancashire. She got to her 50 in just 17 balls - a KSL record.

The gulf between the very best and the average in women's cricket is just huge.

Australia gave the WIndies a bit of a caning. Hundreds for Lanning and Healy, while only two WI players managed to score more than 4 runs and only Taylor scored more than 14

interestingly both innings started with a first ball wicket

CSA launched their own mini T20 compeition which saw 4 players play three times over last three days.

Only saw today's game but Laura Wolvaardt got 110 off 52 balls and still ended up on the losing side.

It was the fastest recorded women's T20 century by a South African and the joint 10th fastest recorded by a woman.

lengthy delay during the first T20 between Australia and West Indies after Jess Jonassen realised that the inner circle was too big. It had been set at 30 yards which is the men's distance, but should have been set at 25 yards for the women

I didn't even know there was a difference.... learn something new every day

Sarah Taylor retired from international cricket earlier this week, citing her ongoing issues with anxiety.

not surprising, but a damn shame nonetheless

All round bad day for South Africans in India as they have suffered a second embarrassing T20 defeat in a row.

After getting 89-7 on Tuesday, South Africa only managed 99-5 today.

Radha Yadav got the best figures of 3-23. Amazingly she has played for India 22 times by the age of 19.

Change of fortunes in the last T20 fixture as it was the Saffers spanking the Indians.

84 from Lizelle Lee saw South Africa with a healthy 144 run first wicket. They finally finished on 175-3.

In reply India were all out for just 70 - the lowest total for any team in the series.

The strength in depth of Australia's batsmen is absolutely insane.

If Lanning fails Healy steps up. If Lanning and Healy fail.....up comes Rachael Haynes. She got 118 today to put Sri Lanka to the sword and claim the win in their 2nd ODI. It is her first international century in her 56 ODI career.

It is their tenth win in a row in all formats - in fact, bar that one consolation Ashes victory, the last time an Australian Women's team lost a game was on November 18th of 2018.

Are Australia Women's Team the best in World Cricket?

Talk about making your chances count.

After the injury of Smriti Mandhana, Priya Punia came into the first team and got a score of 75* to guide India to their first ODI win of the series against South Africa. Punia is the seventh Indian of any gender to get a half century on debut.

Got caught up in the unlikely cricketing spectacle of Germany vs Oman.

There was one very strong player for Germany that made the other girls look like mugs to be honest - could easily of slipped into a more established women's team.

Christina Gough got 71 from 45 balls and then 2 wickets as Germany got 172-1 and Oman were all out for 57. I note that Gough last played for an ICC Global Development squad so she is clearly a big fish in a tiny pond.

The second match is tomorrow.
