Well done to our girls...or women...or ladies.

I'm guessing that it probably isn't 'boilers'

See the T20 women's world record was broken twice in a day today too....both against South Africa. Tough

Another win for England today.

Really is a golden crop of players. Sarah Taylor, Anya Shrubsole, Katherine Brunt, Nat Sciver, Tammy Beaumont and now Sophie Ecclestone have all shown what they have in the locker over the last few matches.

Ecclestone is a new one on me, but she's been doing well lately

England ended what has been a really good Summer for them with a loss to New Zealand that all seemed a bit.....anodyne.

A Dane Van Niekirk century saw South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 7 runs in their first ODI in Potchefstroom.

She scored 102 off 117 balls and also claimed 2-26.

Chamari Atapattu's 94 was not enough to see Sri Lanka beat South Africa today.

It was the 6th highest score for any Sri Lankan Women's player - she also holds the other five places on that list.

not a good start by England against India

fell apart chasing a modest total. slow scoring match so pitch may have been a factor, but to only reach 136 after being 111-3 is very England mens test batting-esque.

Aus also managed to defend a modest total, but at least NZ got within 5 runs of their target, despite never looking likely to get there

A superb final over from Kate Cross hands England another T20 victory over India, for a 3-0 series whitewash

with a mere 2 runs left to defend in the final over, Cross bowled . . . W W 1 to secure a 1 run victory.

excellent performance

So far away from the lime light here but...

Saw that Namibia and Botswana were playing each other this week in a series of 5 T20Is.

Think it is a really good thing that these nations are able to put up an XI and tour them yearly.

Namibia are putting Botswana to the sword rather. Today they humbled them to 58-7 thanks to figures of 4-14 from Maryke Short, who is also the coach of the national hockey side. They polished off that total in 7 over.
