Just unable to see anything other than short term financial gain. But fair point.

Two ODIs were dropped in 08. My error. Tests were moved from Ahmedabad and Mumbai to Chennai and Mohali.

Was scheduled at seven ODIs and two Tests. A pretty woeful balance.

yeah the woeful balance between Test and odi probably another factor in the lack of test crowd as well.
between 2002 and 2012 period india played far more ODI than test matches in india and far many of the tours had too many odi in the series and far less test matches in the schedule.
