In the search of a pace all-rounder, post the failed experiment of Rishi Dhawan and Stuart Binny, Hardik Pandya has made his mark in ODI and T20i format. With experience he might do well even in test format. A key player for India in 2019 WC being played in England. Has been having niggle as well as injured couple of times this year Meanwhile BCCI has tried to manage his workload during last one year. India needs him to shine because the options are not much in pace all-rounder skill set.

Laxmi Ratan Shukla, Reetinder Singh Sodhi, Rishi Dhawan, Stuart Binny have not managed to grab this golden spot in Indian cricket.

Currently Hardik is recovering from back injury since September Asia cup. He is hoping to be fit for 3 ODI series against to be played in Jan 2019 on tour to Australia.

Good to see Hardik Pandya has recovered. Bowled 18 overs in first innings, scored 73. Now he is opening bowling for Baroda. Although the speeds are not shown in this match he is bowling in 130 - 140 kph range. Bowled few good out swingers. Some balls drifting to leg of right handed as well as left handed batsmen but more important is his fitness. Putting good effort during delivery as well. On basis of what i have watched in this match he is fit imo. No niggles so far or treatment by physio. Umpire talked with him though few times as he run up on wicket after delivery.

Picks a wicket in his 4 the over with a brilliant ball that seamed away from rightie batsman Aditya Tare.

6 wickets and 73 runs so far in this match. Opens bowling after batting and staying not out. What a comeback from injury :clap

He and KL Rahul is in controversy after giving some sexist comments in a Indian talk show. CoA seems to show they are powerful than BCCI as one of its member is suggesting 2 matches ban.
