Look at it positively, World War III may break out soon, so that date might be entirely theoretical.

Hafeez obviously retired in the last days. Not many surprises there, hed even stopped plundering runs in UAE in recent times. On his adopted home pitches, he proved to be a wonderful player....anywhere else, he was technically poor.

I'll always remember Morkel beating Lancs at OT...... with Durham needing something daft like 50 off 3 overs, he flogged umpteen sixes to do it with 6 balls to spare. It was a quite remarkable thing to watch at the time, although these sorts of things are becoming more and more commonplace. It was 2008 apparently.... where has the time gone?

Thought he might do the circuit for a while. Fine Test bowler, brilliant ODI operator.

Are you not confusing brothers? Albie is the South African Stuart Law.... dropped after one innings with a 50. Not sure he ever bowled in a test.

Albie was one of those players who made you switch your attention back to a game. He had the ability to take a game away from you in a sniff, but like a lot of people of his ilk, its debatable whether or not those lean moments inbetween were worth it for him, in ODIs especially. His bowling wasnt really that strong at all.

Oops! Did Andy change that after I read it and before I posted...

I can scarcely remember Albie Morkel. Feels like he was out the SA side 10 years ago. Sort of a new Lance Klusener/Justin Kemp.

I thought I saw Arthur's or your name against the thread - naturally enough, I thought it was a personal thing.
