Unfair ddb - unfair Lara, in a poor side by West Indies standards, has won many a game for them as well as saving some. Apart from Headley I can't think of a West Indian batsman who rivals him. Please, all of you, don't come back with Viv - he scored many of his runs in a very good batting side not having to worry about everyone getting out at the other end.

In the last 15 years or so Lara & Sachin have been the best whilst the likes of Kallis, Ponting, Jayawardene, Dravid, Inzamam were a class below IMO.
