Chances are Amir won't be allowed either.
Although Amir should still be able to get a visa, I believe the reason for butt doesn't apply to Amir considering Amir was sentenced for 6 months. butt was sentenced for 2 1/2 years.

Should be an interesting tour Suspect Pakistan will make a huge fuss if Amir isn't allowed a visa.

Hard to believe Pakistan will select Butt to tour the uk. It would be wilfully provocative after the shame of their last tour. Same with Amir. It would be idiotic to pick them, and expect them to be allowed to tour without question, never mind the slap it would deliver to the host cricketing body.

Hong Kong all-rounder Irfan Ahmed has been banned for 2 years and 6 months for failing to report an approach. Seems a bit harsh seeing as he wasn't actually involved in any corruption/fixing.

I guess in theory now players should know more. Though not sure how much information player from Hong Kong get on such matters.

Ideal county as they know first hand what a spot fixer looks like in action.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Well he's just played a Test series here and isn't involved in the IPL, an ideal signing one would have thought.

He didn't tour here without the misgivings of many, and that was for his own country. Being selected by an English county is another step towards acceptance altogether. Whether anyone thinks it is ok or not, it is a big leap forward in his return from his ban.

I remember Sussex suggesting there was some special dispensation for touring sides. This might not be extended to individuals. Touring as one of the best players available to a national side is a different proposal than taking on a role as an overseas pro.

Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been suspended during an investigation into match fixing at domestic level.

sharjeel will be a big loss to pakistan in limited overs, even tho i felt he needed to work on his fitness, he looked like the only one of their top order comfortable with the sort of strikerate needed to be competitive in the era of 350+ scores
