It does smack of hypocrisy, when something like this happens.

There are many good female journos out there, but the only ones that seem to make it and have any chance of making it, onto TV are glamorous and under 35.

Sexism seems to work in many more ways than I previously thought.

To me it was a bit of harmless flirting. Gayle did not comment on her breasts or any other part of her body. Nor did he suggest what he might like to do after having the drink. There is no place for sexist comments but to me it was a case of nothing to see here.

I get the backdrop of GJ's comments and the wider issues but I have to agree with Aidan. CG made a bit of a prat of himself but he only suggested a drink really - calling her baby was silly and she could have slapped him down for both comments by simply saying that she was not a baby and certainly not his baby, and that she didn't fancy a drink. Ten sports initially sent a tweet with his comments and said #smooth before the furore started and they then went holier than thou. If this had happened off air no-one would have made an issue of it at all.

as many female journo's have stated in the last couple of days, he is a serial offender. The exposing and offering himself to one at the CWC is another matter entirely.
