Guys, this is the humble pie thread. Collect your humble pies whenever the player/team you have criticized, does exceptionally well.

I would like to start by collecting my humble pie  :

Comment during NewZealand-SouthAfrica quarters in 2011 ODI World Cup :hide

KP served few humble pies when he scored a double ton in Ashes 2010 against OZ.
Michael Hussey too in Ashes 2010 with a magnificent form with the bat.
So did Chris Martin by his excellent spell against India in test series.
Jonathan Trott by proving he is very much an ODI player.

Which one is yours ??

Who will give the next humble pie........

Humble pie by Yuvraj Singh for those who thought his failure as ODI player recently will continue in the world cup. I think he is one of the top 3 performers of this World Cup. Enjoy it guys.

Humble pie....

Didn't I say somewhere that India won't win the World Cup because of their poor fielding? I said that England and South Africa would do better....

I must admit, I wanted Mike Hussey dropped for the Ashes. :hide What a disaster that would have been! Having said that, I'd have dropped Hussey two years ago, bringing in Brad Hodge. The Aussies win the 2009 Ashes, win in India and remain number one in the world!

I think I said the 230 Eng set SL in the quarterfinal was about 10 too many for the home side to realistically be expected to get in those conditions.

They only ended up winning by 10 wkts with 10 overs to spare....Ooops  :hide

1) I too thought India's fielding would cost them the world cup.
2) I thought Yuvraj was finished!

I think I was in that Yuvraj category.

Cursing Punjab for not keeping him for the IPL now. :strop

Poor Chappell people won't let him forget it forever  The only way SRT's career could have ended after the 07 WC was because of injuries but thankfully from his point of view he hasn't suffered major injuries since 07.

Thankfully I wasn't on CMS as I never thought that Yuvraj would do so well though on Indian tracks there was always a good chance of him doing well.
