Can't see a recall for Gayle as a good thing at all. Apart from Arthur's points I think he's a selfish player - which can be fine in a strong and settled team but is really not what you want when you are trying to climb the ladder and hoping team spirit will compensate for some not yet fully developed talent.
I may be wrong . I admit I don't much like the fellow ; though he can certainly give the ball a whack.

Bring in Bravo certainly. Think they must seek a better WK , hopefully one who can bat a bit too. Chase looks reasonable as a fifth bowling option : I would be fine with them playing four quicks if conditions suit...in fact had they done so this last match instead of including Bishoo to stand around in the field they might have made England work even harder for their win...

Lost the series but I think they will see it overall as a step up and I wouldn't disagree. So no , not dead yet.

Good to see Roach back fit and firing...may not be as quick as he once was, but he can still hit 85 mph and with his radar coming back looks a good option for the windies..him and Gabriel together could be deadly...they both need to keep their front foot behind the line though!

Think Gayle's run out the other night, confirmed the fact that he can no longer play test cricket...was shambolic!

Windies will be without their big stars in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe this year as the 15-man squad was announced on Thursday (January 25). Chris Gayle has been named in the team but Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Darren Bravo have all opted out of the tournament

Apparently Dwayne Bravo wanted to play in the charity game at lords in an attempt to make peace and again was re-buffed the WICB.... getting bored of this now, when will everyone get over it and make up..

WICB offer olive branch to the Bravo brothers, Pollard, and Narine, they have moved their 50 over comp in an attempt to get them to play in it so can be considered for selection ahead of the world cup

Windies are reigning T20 champions. This thread is like one asking if French football is dead

Nothing says irrelevant like 600 million viewers watching live

Proper cricket doesn't concern itself with relevance though.

Stuart Law has resigned as Head Coach of the WINDIES Men’s team to take on a new role in January 2019.

Law, who took over as Head Coach in February 2017, leaves after guiding the Test team to series wins against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh and the ODI team through the ICC World Cup Qualifiers and into the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Law also oversaw the first WINDIES Test Match win in England for 17 years with a five-wicket win at Headingley.

Law will continue in his role for the upcoming away series against India and Bangladesh and will leave to join Middlesex CCC in the New Year.

IMO that's a blow for the Windies, have been progressing albeit slowly, and Law was doing a decent job
