Sheer carelessness on his part. Jamaica is the only Test-cricket playing country where the strict "whereabouts" WADA rules are applied to cricketers as well as athletes.

In England and India, for example, cricketers don't have to abide by the whereabouts rules.

seems to be alive and kicking if the U19's and the women's and men's T20 teams are anything to go by!

They should be doing much better in ODIs as well given the firepower, although tests may be a different issue

Does this win maybe prove a lot of people wrong? People talk of Windies cricket being rotten and dying, but they just won a world cup?

Is it the administration in the Windies thats the problem, or is it the fact that no one literally cares about test cricket in the region anymore?

I cant see how one team can be world champions and another be utterly terrible at the same time, if they meant as much to each other?

T20 cricket is the future, it seems the cricketing public (and players) are simply ahead of time on the old world.

I would equate the West Indies World Cup win to Ireland's progress as a four day side, based on their players going off and playing in other countries rather than having much to do with what the WICB has done domestically.

The best we can hope for is that the win will give the players a new footing to see use to get real change to happen in the WICB and may inspire a new generation of players back home. It is going to have little to no impact on their progress as a Test side in the next few years.
