What a simplistic consideration of events. Perhaps those bowlers' wickets and probably, therefore, their economy rates were not so badly affected by catches dropped off their bowling as were Bresnan's.

It may be true that Bresnan dropped more catches than others but even good fielders drop catches from time to time and when it happens in clusters, people will seize upon them as something they think may support their argument, however weak that argument may be. At other times in the tournament, Bresnan's ground fielding was excellent, one example being the powerful, accurate throw from deep that would have resulted in a run out had Buttler not swiped at thin air.
I'd appeal for a little more thought from some of Bresnan's detractors but, in some cases, clearly this would be a waste of time.
