imo Axar is also a leftie and he was the first choice option between Jaddu/Axar going by last ODI series versus SL.

However, Yuvi is a like for like option as is being reported in media in case they will look to replace Jaddu in squad of 15 or whatever it is. There are no other lefty options in that category.

If Axar does will in the tri-series then you'd imagine that he will get the nod for the WC.

Axar is the first choice for TriSeries having impressed in ODI's versus SL. They should imo give 1 or 2 matches to jaddu in Triseries to help him with experience of conditions and wickets, in case Axar flops or is injured and we need to play Jaddu.

Is India's squad for this not the WC squad? The names have to be in before this competition ends.

Ravi is one of the biggest Yuvi fan. I won't be surprised at all if he gets Yuvi in. Offcourse Yuvi has scored 3 tons in last 3 Ranji matches he has played last month apart from few wickets.

Well, the Tracer Bullet got Raina back into the Test squad. So I certainly won't it put beyond him to get Yuvraj into the WC squad. Lets hope though that better sense prevails in the interests of Indian cricket rather than the cliche ridden "big player, big tournament" "form is temporary, class is permanent" nonsense, which single handedly cost us a World T20 title last year.

Jadeja would obviously be injured, I heard he will be picked for the world cup squad with him not playing all of the tri series since he will not be fit for the first few games of the competition.

I think something similar was going to happen with Broad/Anderson with one pace option travelling to the tri series as cover.

not a bad squad Shanky.
Vijay should be there, Not sure Uthappa needs to be picked since if Dhoni is injured india can call a replacement and it is unlikely dhoni would ever miss a game for india because of a slight injury.

but not sure if india needs a pace bowler or an all rounder for Uthappa place not sure India needs 2 batsman in the bench.
