What a newsbreaker you are, AC. I hadn't heard a thing.

Yes, it sounds nasty. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2018/oct/08/cricket-great-matthew-hayden-injured-while-surfing-in-queensland Sounds like he should be right in time.

As far as I have seen it reported, it looks like the ICC were investigating the series v Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, with specific regards to possible fixed outcomes in the match Zimbabwe won. When approached to produce various information, Jayasuriya seems to have not been at all helpful, and refused to provide (and destroyed, depending on where you read) a set of documents specifically called for by the ICC. Also, it seems he was asked to provide his mobile phone as evidence, but flat out refused, claiming he had personal images and videos that were sensitive, and which he didnt want to share with other people.

So, he's being charged with refusing to provide evidence. Whether or not that will expand to these actions being considered part of the fix, or a cover up, I cant tell at this point.

If what you say is true SP, it kinda does look a little suspicious if not incriminating. He has been around cricket long enough to know that about the anti corruption situation and match fixing. His excuses seem the suggest he is at best naive. And the length of time he has been in this game, for me it is plausible to believe he could not be that naive.

Could be an interesting couple of weeks. If true i would find it impossible to believe that he could have done this on his own and would expect a few players to also be named.
