just watched yesterdays CWoTV and there was one interesting little discussion about the forthcoming series of day/night games using the pink ball and that Gary Ballance is colour blind and cant see the pink ball against a green background

they are supposed trying to work on a pair of sunglasses he can use that will help filter the colours to let him see it

I'd heard about this before. Ballance isn't the only cricketer who has this problem.

For me this Day/Night county cricket is a joke. They are playing at a time of year when it will still be broad daylight at the scheduled close of play. Just a gimmick to get more through the gate which it will at first but the novelty will soon wear off.

we have a launch of a South African t20 League being held in London and 6 of the 8 franchise owners aren't from South Africa

afaik there is going to be some overlap between the IPL and this league so wont there be some sort of conflict of interest for the owners of a team in both the IPL and this league when the two leagues are going to be in competition of sorts

i really think there has to be some sort of protocols around these type of conflicts as these leagues begin to grow and take on more prominence
