And Adil Rashid has been added to the Elite Performance Squad according to the Mail. I thought he was already a part of it? Can anyone shed any light on this? He could, if people start to pull out, play in the Tests.

True, braveneutral.
Though this time it is not possible. I would like to see a 5 match test series involving India-England either in india or England.
Being an Indian fan India will be my first team. After today England will be my second team!
They have done the cricket fans in india a great favour by continuing the tour and I am pretty sure you will see some good crowd in Chennai.

Jason Brown signs for Notts. BBC reporters obviously earn their money well as they quote him as saying: "I bowled with Graeme (Swann) a lot at Northants and we seemed to compliment each other."
Well it is nice to compliment each other, but that is not so useful if you keep bowling pies. It may be better for the side if they complement one another well!

NM has once again hit the big time! He is on the front page of 606 for this comment on the most recent of his star-studded virtual appearances: "India's bowlers never looked like taking a wicket in the final session." Soon he will need a red carpet wherever he walks

Ive just noticed that Graeme Smith has "49" embroidered on his shirt. Did SA restart their Test player numbering after they were brought back into the fold in the 90's? Because they must have had more than that many Test players if you include the pre-Apartheid era.
Does anybody know the story behind this?

No idea, but Simon Jones has said that he is "as hungry as ever."
