Never know to what think about with Ajmal...because his record is incredible, but a lot of bowlers who are called for chucking come back and still do well, but the fact that all his international wickets came before he had to re-model his action, and then afterwards he wasn't a threat even at club level, which suggests to me that have to take his record with a huge pinch of salt

I know what to think about Ajmal. Probably unrepeatable

At his very best he was clearly cheating to such a vast extent, his record should be completely invalidated and removed from records. I give fair credit to players who do it against England, but I had a few arguments about his action in that UAE series vs England and got told it was sour grapes. Obviously from people who didnt watch the series because anyone who did would never challenge he was bowling legitimately. It was more akin to baseball. It was like, after a few years not being called for it, he stopped trying to mask his cheating and just did what he wanted. It made it a mockery.

He achieved less than me in international cricket, because at least I achieved nothing fairly.

Defended at the time by the ICC (I remember particularly listening to Dave Richardson explain why Ajmal wasn't throwing) which has now called into question their stewardship of the whole issue of chucking.

Virat kohli joint fastest to 50 international centuries.
Joint fastest alongside Amla.
Joins Tendulkar, pointing, Sangakkara,Kallis,Amla, Jayawardene and Lara.
Cook is the highest englishman on 36 centuries.
Surprised how low number of Centuries Root scored.

That period was crazy, ICC are shambles sometimes, they actually allowed it to get that far that no one was allowed to question chucking and ICC assumed the bowlers were clean which meant often Narine, Sri lanka bowlers or pakistan bowlers would chuck to get better at T20 cricket or in Ajmal case all 3 formats of the game.
At least now bowler have to bowl within the rules and the 15 degrees.
Also made Sri lanka and pakistan cricket board get into action since they now actually stopping bowlers from chucking from age group cricket, rather then just allowing it in the past.
their is a reason why chuckers are not really found in England, Australia or india.
chuckers are either fixed or they not allowed to progress after certain age.

ICC were scared to do anything since if they did anything PCB or SLC will claim racism or they will face blacklash from members.
not really sure why though since if he was legal ajmal would pass the test and if he wasn't legal he wouldn't and it wasn't like Ajmal was a special case like Murali in that he couldn't bowl like normal bowlers.
good that they stopped it since bowlers from all countries were learning to chuck since it was advantageous in the T20 format.
Ashwin admitted that he was learning to chuck to get better at T20, Ali was learning the doosra.
https://www.sportskeeda.com/cricket/rav ... n-chucking
"So I wanted to see how it would feel. And I just wanted to see if you can get more revs on the ball if you can do a little bit with your elbow, as much as that is. That’s what it was all about. You can get a lot of advantage with these things — so why should I lag behind if someone else is getting a competitive edge?”"

No surprise that the chuckers have gone out of the game and Legspinners have came back in since they basically doing the same role as the chuckers but legally.

Don't mind them. It's Vaughan who annoys me.

I rang BT Sport and offered to pay double for my subscription if they get rid of him. They said they'll get back to me.

Suppose it beats listening to Nasser Hussain, find him rather obnoxious.
