I would have thought it get higher figures for it.

The Aussie Rules in Aus get more than that, for a similar time-frame, if I remember correctly. And that is for a population base of less than 15 million who would be AFL aware.

Another year where you can't take the wisden seriously beyond me how Hasan ali didn't get selected.

yeah should have gotten it for that.
3 females is a bit too much especially when you considering the reasoning behind it.
Knight for being the captain.
Sciver for the shot and being the star all rounder
Shrubsole for the final performance.

having 2 females, hasan ali, Porter and hope would have been fair.

it just feels like they are having 3 females for the sake of it.
they didn't even pick the best female in the list either beaumount got a bigger claim to it than knight or Sciver.

Hasan ali was the story of the english summer last year, got a bigger claim than hope and porter.
how he transformed pakistan cricket in that period was incredible.
still shocked of how pakistan won the trophy.

think this must be the first ICC tournament in england not to be covered either by Wisden in the player list.

also first time since 2002 no england men player in the list, suspect that won't change next year either so good opportunity for indian and pakistan players to make the list.
most of the english players have made the list so not much players to pick from and I doubt Stoneman, Vince and leach will have great summer to get in the list either.

Not sure how a player justifies himself for player of the year on the basis of one valid game. It's contributions to county, national team or opposing international team that have counted

I think ICC competitions have counted in the past. Probably for the women this year too.

It's always been worded as impact on the English season, not specifically for or against England. That said, I'd more align myself with, Sussex here.

Feels a bit like a mid eighties Aussie squad, with a strong showing of players who we'll struggle to remember in years to come. More Simon Donnell and Simon Davis than the Waugh bros.

CA are about to announce the appointment of Justin Langer as the new Australia head coach.

From 'totally unacceptable' ball tampering against SA to apparently perfectly acceptable bail tampering against SL in one easy step.

Hmmmm. have CA thought this through?

could they not have picked someone whiter than white until the dust settles?

do they have anyone whiter than white?

CA seems to be backtracking on this appointment.
