I'd pay good money to watch a team of Irfan's play a team of Mitchell's

Paul Farbrace to leave as England assistant coach after the WI series to join Warks.

England probably wouldn't have wanted to change anything before the WC. So well are things going in ODIs.

SL knocked off the 78 runs required by their final wicket partnership to secure a test win in SA.

SL's number 11 survived 73 minutes for his 6 runs to give set batsman Kusal P the chance to knock off the other 72 runs

Well done them. Quite a feat.

I have the feeling that in a similar situation... 9 down and still a lot of runs required.... England would have been lucky to score 5 of them.

although, the number 11 only faced about 27 balls in that 73 mins, so great credit must surely go to Kusal for his intelligent farming of the strike

I had just about finished a reply to this the other day when my tablet died (just the battery ran out).

Any 1 wicket win will be an exciting finish, but one that was down to 1 wicket for 78 runs is something special.

A test win for SL in SA would be pretty rare, I am guessing? This must be up there with their best ever test wins - especially after the hiding they copped in Aus immediately prior.

Good for them.
