True or False or not, he also reveals how he came to know about the potential fixers in 2010 during his captaincy reign, actually a very good read to be fair

In events away from the world cup, Netherlands just beat Zimbabwe in the first t20 game, having swept the ODI series. Seems Zimbabwe and Ireland are probably closer to Netherlands and Scotland in terms of ability rather than the full members.

I saw all the Aus team today at their training. They were great - took the time to sign kids bats and have pics etc. My son had his bat signed by Ponting, Langer, Smith, Starc, Maxwell etc - no room left on it now!

I told Maxwell not to let me down for the fantasy league - he said that was a lot of pressure!

Nice when players do that

Shane Warne once signed the boy's bat. He was so chuffed he was showing it to strangers on the way home and I think he slept with it for a couple of weeks.

It means a lot to them

The Eng team turned up for training as well but immediately asked the security guys to keep the kids away from them. My son was gutted and said he might support Ind and Aus rather than Ind and Eng from now on!

It struck me that Eng looked like a team under pressure whereas Aus looked quite relaxed, so i wasn't surprised that Eng went on to lose against Aus. Eng also lost some goodwill from the cricket fans of the future by not taking a few mins for the kids.

It takes no time really. Disappointing in some ways.

I'm sure Australians will be on the charm offensive after what happened over the last year.

Though i remember we had a group of youngsters at the 2001 ashes test at Trent Bridge. The Australian team were very approachable whilst a few England players were anything but. Seems things have not changed much.

2013 test match at CLS saw all of the England boys and all of the Aussies, at their most personable best

barring Capt Charisma, of course....... he was a shambles..... miserable get!

I bet Warney will be on it.

Aussies can turn it off after the Lord's Test.
