Not sure when I called for him to be dropped from the ODI side? I am only saying he isn't as good as he is hyped and still has a fair bit to prove overseas.Thats not the same as "not picking him".

Shouldn't be anywhere near the Test side, by the way.

time to move on from him in test now though, in the same way that we had to give up on Yuvi in tests, and then Raina as well?

maybe better to have Rahul in the side

He took to ODI's slowly, and he seems in some ways so talented, Id be inclined to stick with him another year.

he's averaging in the low 20's over his last 14 tests now, I thought only ian Bell got away with those sort of stats!

anyway, maybe you're right but it didn't work in Yuvi's case and he was at least as talented - guess it might come down to whether anybody is really banging on the door for test selection

Agree with sussex. Maybe not one more year but definitely one full series.

Would rather drop Dhawan first.

He's at least tied with Tendulkar who also has 5, and I'd wager a long way behind Steve Waugh who must be up around 10.

Has Waugh made any 150's?

Waugh was the first person to score a test 150 against all teams, I know that, but when he scored that innings against South Africa when Gibbs famously dropped him, and he then made 120 not out, it was only his 2nd ODI hundred I believe

Rohit has four, according to statsguru. SRT has five.

Viv has three plus a 149, pretty remarkable for back then.

Gayle and Jayasuriya have four.

Strauss has three! Same as Lara.

Though Viv would have played some 60 and 55 over games.

Steve Waugh made only three ODI hundreds and two of them came against RSA, I believe. Anyway, in ODI cricket, where the white ball hardly moves around, Rohit Sharma at present, is one of the best. His game is certainly suited for the abridged versions of the game.
