Somerset join Warks in losing both their opening games. As I have said for a while, they aren't anything special. Every chance that they'd have finished in the bottom two last year, before they turned Taunton into a raging turner. That covered for so many deficiencies (but, at the same time, almost won them the title!).

More like Ballance is back to his old self, looks perked up at the crease and no longer the timid batsman as seen last year. Time will tell whether the CC form can be translated in the white ball competitions.

A bowling attack of Abbott, Edwards/Topley, Wheal, Dawson, Ervine is not to be frowned upon. Especially when Abbott and Edwards went through the Yorkshire batsmen at Headingley.
