I remember reading that after he turned out for us in a couple of CC matches 2 years ago, he was introduced to the whole Blaydon Races thing after a win. Loved it apparently. If he wants to enjoy cricket again in his twilight years, then he could do a lot worse than spend a couple of seasons as a Durham player
