Might have been a case for sending Borthwick in after the early clatter of wickets.

Ridiculously short boundaries make the game a farce -their mishits, and Curran had plenty of, went for boundaries, ours went to hand.
Having said that, choosing to bowl first on a used pitch, nor asking a debutant to immediately bowl in the powerplay weren't the most shrewd of captaincy decisions.
In fact our choice of captain in botb forms of the game leave much to be desired.
When we play with decent size boundaries, which makes T20 a fairer contest there's certainly a role for Badger as he's adept at knocking it around and is quick between the wickets.

unchanged squad for this evening so presumably Carse was available last game yet 2 debutants were preferred above him. :d'oh:

That was a baffling decision.

Carse is back but he is replacing Borthwick- seems an odd switch. Lost the toss and are batting.
On my way to the ground and there are a few spots of rain - maybe they're worried about a spinner gripping the wet ball.

Got his hands to a ferocious drive during Wednesday's game -evasive action rather than attempted catch. Completed over but looked in some discomfort.

Thanks. That explains it. Another woeful power play tonight. Very gloomy and muggy so I don't know what would be a decent score. 40/3 in the 7th over!!

so are we spinner-less then?

I did briefly consider going down, but it feels as though we are on the slide.... can't get players on the park, form gone completely out of the window.... so I decided I could make better use of my Friday evening than sitting with my head in my hands.

Even if we were to salvage something from the last few matches, we'd have lost every single bit of the momentum we had in the early rounds and we'd be turned over in the QF's, probably in our usual catastrophic QF way

I think our T20 season is probably done

I might give the second's 50 over cup a go though.... whenever that's on. I quite fancy a competition where the usual suspects who routinely take us apart every time they play us.... won't be playing us. Hurrah!

Will it be Stainless Steele's turn to administer the coup de grace tonight?

Dickson has become the main man. And naturally he's out for 40 ...70/4! And it's starting to rain.
Brain fade - Clark out for 40!
Good couple of overs to follow though and the 100 is up.

150 might be handy but we need about 9 an over to get there! Think it was a good toss to win.

109 /4 with 7 overs left. Can they have a strong finish?
